Mt. Kimball trip, segment 1

We got up hella early in the morning and got up to the trailhead, only about a 15 minute drive north from my apartment. This first picture here on the left was taken a few minutes up the trail, while we could still see the superexpensive houses through the desert brush to our left (west). This was a learge saguaro :)
A cool shot of Xander in front of numerous cacti and the Finger Rock Canyon.
I'm not sure what this plant is, but it was different and very intricate-looking, so we took a picture of it.
Here's one of me in my Indiana Jones hat next to another intimidating cactus
Xander trying to put his hand in the shape of finger rock on the ridge directly above his head. Its too far away to see well now, but you can see it better in later pictures.
Oh, hey, in fact, here's the closeup now . . .
Jason in front of the sheer cliff that forms the west wall of Finger Rock Canyon.
When cactus die the beefy part of them rots away, and you're left with one of these cactus skeletons that Xander is shown in front of.
Alexander in front of a tall cactus, between whose arms is Finger Rock (partially obscured by clouds).
Me doing the finger with finger rock thing, twice.
