Yet another transformer that I tried failed, so we drove to Albuquerque and bought a cheap 220V generator at Sam's. I'll wire in a real plug in the next couple weeks, until then it was this kludge.
Starting the generator, the well finally works.
The water started out awfully full of rock flour from the well having been drilled.
But after rinsing the well out a few times it started to clear up okay.
