This is the tree/treeless transition where we want to build the main house.
Looking west out the huge front windows of the house. We're lucky to have a view -- Dr. Melosh is building a 2-story to get up over his trees. We have trees, too, of course, but treeless area as well. Property line is between us and that copse of trees, but close to the trees.
This is the original homesteader's house for this part of the ranch. Precise age unknown. It is not on our property. It is about 20m on the other side. This is about the view that will be from our driveway on the way in. We should talk to the owners about offering to help defray the costs of refurbishment in exchange for letting us take visitors through.
