So here it was... The entire justification of the trip. How, might you ask, did we get tickets? Well, about 48 hours before tickets would go on sale, BJ lined up. I joined him that evening, and got a few hours sleep when someone subbed in for me, and a few ppl rotated as a third.
For in-line entertainment, we did a bit of dueling.

By that night,the sidewalk got pretty crowded
The group that had rotated for over a month. They were prepared... Had internet connections, even.
I wandered off and found some interesting tracks. Look sir, droids!
Daytime again. The line's even longer at this point. I still can't believe I slept in Hollywood overnight
Surprisingly, the line was very well maintained. We were officially the
"Line behind the line", or the ppl behind the Starlight Foundation ppl
who were raising money for charity. We all knew each other, so we weren't
worried about ppl cutting. Yet, The Man Show felt the need to provoke us.
They had Adam and Jimmy sit at the front of the line and claim that they
had been there for days. A wee bit suspicious, as their cameras had just
come up the crowd and started asking us what we would do if someone did
exactly that... Meanwhile, their producer started trying to incite a
riot. I heard they got arrested... I hope it was true. Anyways, I left
before the whole thing was resolved to sleep a few hours...
But I was back early the next morning to get the tickets. Here's BJ, Natron-e?, Chris Brooks, and myself.
We got the tickets as planned. We got 2 tickets for BJ and myself to go to the 1st showing (12:01AM) and then 46 for us all to go later at 10 something.
I was supposed to go to San Diego to visit Keely that evening. But I was really tired at this point, so I bailed on my plans to go see the Padres/Marlins at the Murph (Qualcomm my ass!), and slept at Tech that night. The next day, tho, I went to see them

BJ and I went to the midnight showing, he as Darth Maul, and I as Obi Wan Kenobi. It was great... Not just the movie, but also the reactions to BJ. My costume was fairly lame, but BJ's, as you can see, was scary. Out of 5 Maul's, he was EASILY the best

We went back AGAIN on Friday, because some ppl hadn't made it into town in time for Wed. From large unknown woman on left... Keely, Adam, Brian (in stealth mode), Dave, Donnie (also trying to hide, but I got him!), Natron-e?, Jason, Katherine's back, and Katie.

house in Pasadena.

What a tiring week. Di relaxes.
It seemed like a week went by in just minutes. It was so cool to be back at Tech, yet have NOTHING that needed to be done. We played a lot of cards, ate out at the old hangouts, and in general had a great time.
But soon, it was time to go... Everyone else left, and I went too.
